Rhodes has a variety of sport clubs, the most famous ones are Rhodes Football Club and Kolossus Bascketball club. both of those teams, represent Rhodes island in A league.

Football – the most famous sport in the island. There are two professional teams A.S. Rhodes and Diagoras F.C. that compete in national level and there are about 50 minor teams that compete in local level. Some noticeable minor teams are Hercules of Maritsa, Diagoras of Vati, Kleanthis of Paradisi, Orfeas of Rhodes, Phevos of Kremasti and Homonia of Genadi. The biggest stadium in Rhodes is Diagoras stadium which is in the city of Rhodes. Almost every village has a football stadium, and there are also a lot of 5×5 football areas that amateurs can rent by hour and play football.

Basketball – there is one professional team Colossus BC that competes in Greek A1 League and about 15 minor teams that compete in local level. Indoors basketball playgrounds are located mostly in schools like Venedoklio school and Thileon in the city of Rhodes but there are also 2 big indoors basketball playgrounds, one in Kremasti village and one in Ialysos village. Outdoors basketball playgrounds you can find almost in every school  and in Karakonero sport center.

Volleyball/Beach Volley

Tennis – You can play tennis in Karakonero Sport Center and in the town of Rhodes there is a court you can play beside Casino of Rhodes. You will also find courts for tennis in almost all big hotels.

Sailing

Wind surf / Kit surf – the best beach for wind surfing according the surfers is all the west coast from aquarium to Prasonisi. There are a lot of surf schools along the coast and you will also find and from the other side of the island in Faliraki Beach.

Golf – the biggest club and golf court (6800 yards, one 18-hole, par-73) is in Afandou and it was designed by the world famous  Donald Harradine, Britain golf court architect.

Horse riding – the horse riding club of Rhodes, called Kadmos, has 25 horses and you can plan a trip by horse in various parts of the island or small tours to the nearby forests and mountains. The facilities are located at Asgourou, which is 10klm from the city of Rhodes, 5klm from Ialysos and 9klm from Faliraki.

Go kart

Bowling- There are 2 bowling centers in Rhodes. One is in Kremasti which is 12klm south-west from the city of Rhodes, and the other one is in Faliraki which is 12klm south-east from the city of Rhodes.
