Damatria is a close to the city center village, less than 20 Km away from the City Center and around 5km away from the Airport. Even though the close distance to the center, Damatria is low populated (less than 700 residents)  and remains a traditional village.

Damatria has also ancient roots. Demetra was a goodess in ancient Greek religion of polytheism and it is believed that the village is named Damatria to honor her.
